Falls we hiked two up in the mountains
So last day on the island here. Looking forward to a full day of flying again tomorrow, no fun. Yesterday was pretty solid. We drove island for about an hour (having got lost once due to a ’shortcut’). Finally got a real opportunity to be in the jungle here. Just incredible. So lush and green with a huge variety of plant life. Climbed a mountain up to about 2000 ft and parked. The trail took us through a farm then down the side of a mountain to the river below. Apparently there are 7 falls that make up this set of Seven Sisters, we only made it to the first two. We were told that you could jump of them, but were not able to without a guide. Anyway, spent some time swimming here before heading back up and out. Pretty amazing. That night we went with some of the other students in Jeffs apartments to a nice place called the Crab Shack and got to really experience Grenadian service first hand. They’re famous for extremly slow service and getting upset for asking them to actually do anything. Turned into an extremly long, overprice and not very good meal. Company was fun though. Some of the med students that live nextdoor came along with some of the vet girls that live downstairs. Went back and had cake at the downstairs neighboor and watch their tempormental cat pick fights with all the dogs.
Today we had plans to hit a farm about 2hrs inland, but we all slept in and ended up going to the beach for awhile. Looks like we’re going to hit the bar where all the students go for dinner then we’ll see. All in all, been an amazing trip and not to excited to head back to the grind. Trev and I have been plotting to figure out how we can buy a boat and sail the Caribbeans. Such a great atmosphere. Anyway, catch you all soon.
Sounds like an absolutely amazing trip! I am so glad that you did it. Have a safe flight home, I can’t wait to see you.
Miss ya!
